A dated main bathroom that was in dire need of an upgrade received the Adesso Building Renovations treatment. This now-modern bathroom was completely transformed from a closed-in, 3-way-room to a gorgeous, open bathroom with added free-standing bath, double vanity and easy-to-maintain tiles throughout.
Scope Of Works
We started with an outdated 3-way-bathroom with separate toilet and powder room. Most likely build in the mid-’70s.
We started by knocking down all separating walls. This was followed by removing the existing fixtures and fittings, toilet, vanity and shower. In accordance with the total transformation, the client was looking for, we removed the original wall and floor tiles followed by the wall and ceiling sheeting, as well as the old brick hob under the shower screen.
We then set about reinstalling plumbing pipework for the double vanity and free-standing bathtub. Villa board sheets were applied to the wall and plasterboard to the ceiling.
After we applied two coats of waterproofing membrane, the tilers installed the floor and full-height wall tiles. Next up was the gorgeous new tapware, basin, free-standing bath and toilet. New downlights and IXL system (heat light & ventilation) were installed by our electrician and we finished up with a fresh lick of paint on all non-tiled walls and the window frame.
We completed the job by installing a frameless shower screen, PVC plantation shutters and set the mirror above the full width of the double vanity. The end result gave the client a modern and stylish new bathroom with an abundance of natural light.
WEEKS TO COMPLETION
Giovanni was a pleasure to deal with, he acted promptly and professionally on issues that arose and was flexible around any changes that I wanted to make. I would certainly use Giovanni again for any new work I have in the future and would not hesitate to recommend him to any of my friends.
