Originally this backyard started with a large, open grassed area with a rusty metal pool fence, original brick wall and overgrown garden around the pool. We transformed the space into a Balinese-inspired retreat, giving the client their own backyard resort. It’s large enough to entertain a large number of guests and easy to maintain.
Scope Of Works
We started the job excavating the turf and poured a 8m x 6m concrete slab. We installed an insulated roof pergola, fitted with downlights and electric remote-control blinds and finally 600 x 600mm porcelain floor tiles.
The border coping tiles in the pool needed to be replaced and we removed the original, rusted fence and replaced it with 12mm thick, frameless glass, creating a more expansive feel for the whole backyard. Finally, we cement rendered the existing brick fence and installed a hardwood Balinese hut with Merbau timber decking.
The Balinese inspired pool area, complemented by a new undercover dining & entertaining space delivered exactly what our clients asked for – their very own backyard resort-style haven.
